As C.S. Lewis wrote in his most famous book, and I paraphrase, there is a real right and a real wrong and even children know the difference. They learn this early in life — some sense of fair play. “You had your turn, now it is mine.” In much the same way, we must acknowledge that there is real evil in this world. You may call it what you like, but it is always based on a lie. Trump has built his life on lies, duplicity, and greed. Trump has lied so often he can no longer remember what he said. The NYT published a full page of his lies. Read it. I do not know if he is a madman, an idiot or someone who is constitutionally unable to tell the truth. But I believe he is dangerous to our country. May God have mercy on us.
